We are delighted to welcome Nick Pike to the company as Agricultural Sales Manager.
Nick brings 40 years’ experience of selling agricultural machinery in the local area to the team. In his previous role, Nick was responsible for selling International Harvester and Case IH tractors and farm machinery for 38 years.
Nick, whose father farmed in the Shaftesbury area, has lived locally all his life and has always been involved in the agricultural community. His first role was as Sales Representative at Beares Tractors in Shaftesbury.
Nick went on to work for International Harvester, helping to set up a new retail depot for the brand in Sturminster Newton in 1984 which eventually merged into Bredy Agricentre. Nick was also instrumental in the start up of GCS Agricentre Shaftesbury.
In his new role, Nick is responsible for managing our agricultural sales department which specialises in new and used Kubota tractors along with numerous other well-known machinery brands.
Nick said: “Joining the team at E.G. Coles is a really exciting new challenge for me. As a family-run business, it’s a really friendly place to work. I’m looking forward to speaking to customers about the kinds of products they are looking for and introducing them to the Kubota range. Kubota tractors offer the peace of mind of an extended warranty at competitive prices, which we are pleased to be able to offer customers.
“I joined E.G. Coles in time for the Gillingham and Shaftesbury Show where we won Best in Show for our stand. That was a great feeling. I’ve actually been involved with the show since 1979 and it’s always a great opportunity to see familiar faces and talk to customers about their product needs. I’m looking forward to having lots more of these conversations and to finding out more about how we can help customers.”
Edward Coles, Founder and Partner at E.G. Coles, added: “We are really pleased to welcome Nick to the team. His considerable experience in selling new and used agricultural machinery will be invaluable as we seek to grow our product range. This is an exciting time for us as we look to increase our share of the agricultural machinery market locally and Nick will be instrumental to this.”
